The two in-form teams in Drain Doctor Division One met in the Tay Valley Shield 1 Final at Ogilvy Park in Arbroath.
After two closely contested encounters between them early in the season the game between Arbroath CSC and Riverside Ath was expected to be difficult to call. However from early on there looked like there was only going to be one outcome as Riverside dominated the match. Steve Latimer opened the scoring in 10 minutes with an excellent strike of a rising ball from the corner of the box which flew over the ACSC keepers head and into the opposite corner.
The game was made safe midway through the second half when Ronnie Kenneth scored his 25th goal of the season when he drew the keeper before rounding him and scoring from a tight angle.
Dean Wallace lifted the trophy for the Finlathen team.
